The CMA Festival took place at exactly the same time as the Nashville WWTBAM audution.

This is a terrible question! There is a Baldwin Pear; they grow around here. I happen to know the correct answer is apple, but only because Col. Baldwin is my cousin.

Of course they will, but I'd say the question writer didn't know there was a Baldwin Pear which made this much harder than intended.

The Baldwins, including the actors, are on my mother's side.

I'm surprised that they didn't mention that his Peter's wife Karen was a contestant earlier in the season. She was one of the first 9 contestants this season, one of the holdovers from the Regis version this summer.

And she won more than he did (16K vs 5K). Much like Pea won more than Sting. No wonder he mentioned something about upsetting his wife (by trying to make more money than she did by going from 15K to 25K?). The new trend of women in the marriage making more could have made him uneasy.

Edit: I was the transcriber and was unaware at the time, thinking that his upsetting his wife related to the money lost by guessing wrong.

...And the post-PAF lose-fest continues. :( Worst 2010 episode so far.

I've actually stopped watching now. I get the results from here instead. Three minutes instead of 30. :)
If something big happens, I get it from the transcript first, then watch/DVR it in late night for that.

“I was starting off a new show, I was there in the introduction with Meredith (Viera),” he said. “I’m 6 foot 6 inches (tall), and Meredith is nowhere near 6 foot 6 inches, and they had to bring in an apple box ... for her to stand on.”
Meredith isn't 6'6"? :P
Geddeis said he would put the money toward buying a new car, as well as a trip with his wife, Karen, director of communications for Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205, who appeared on the show in July and won $16,000.

They just waited a while to upset Marley. Didn't realize people here are sharp enough to know the prior contestant
and would have already let the cat out of the bag!
