Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Nah...I think you have to have some fashion before you can be a victim of it! Poor girl is lucky to get her knickers on straight (or at all!) these days.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote: I think that Britney is more of a fashion victim than Posh.

Cute! Is that the Nellie Wig??? Even so, I don't think she dresses like that all the time, like Mary-Kate & Posh do. In most of the pix I found, her look is pretty conservative.
LOL -- when I was really little (kindergarten- 1st grade), I wanted banana curls more than anything! I had a friend named Sandy who had beautiful, dark red banana curls -- Gawd I envied that girl. Now my Mom is a brilliant, accomplished woman -- but she doesn't know beans about styling hair*! And I didn't know Sandy quite well enough to ask her Mom! I eventually learned to do my own hair -- a few years later, when I was no longer the age for banana curls! By that time, "the look" was the Marlo Thomas "That Girl" flip -- and I gave myself a very nice one for my 6th grade school picture. Still my favorite of all the school pix I ever had taken (the fact that I was wearing nylon stockings -- not tights or knee sox -- and felt very grown up, may have something to do with that too!)
*Poor Mom -- she had poker-straight hair when she was little, and said she used to cry her eyes out every time she saw a boy with curly hair. Why would God waste those beautiful curls on a boy???!
