I have an interview tomorrow afternoon 3:15 pm cst for a position in another dept, but still in the School of Medicine. I am very excited and nervous. I haven't had an interview in over 4 years. But, I have the qualifications, and the experience that they need. Here's the catch, my current job knows. I told them, so that they could make a counter offer.
I work for the state, so therefore, my salary leaves alot to be desired. This has been an issue for quite some time.
The cool thing is...I have currently got a ton o'peeps working on getting me a better salary all the way up to the Dean's office.
It really feels great to be actually appreciated for all that I do here!
BTW, the new position is funded privately.
I will keep you all informed on how it all turns out!
Please keep me in your thoughts (so I don't put my foot in my mouth tomorrow!)
