During Dave's annual Christmas Shows, I much prefer watching Darlene Love singing Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home) and Dave and Jay throwing footballs at the giant meatball atop the Late Show Christmas tree, but Dave really likes this story:

The David Letterman one is either a "you know it or you don't" question. Without a PAF or ATE lifeline, it's impossible to reason out.

Tough breaks on the $7,500- I wanted to be biting and sarcastic about it, but could only emphathize while watching it.

My other two comments on Friday's show- 1) There was a noticeable lack of banter and 2) I wonder if yet another contestant almost flaming out because she thought she had the ATE when she didn't was also a catalyst for the demise of the PAF.

Once again a contestant rushes to answer questions and winds up not needing the time he "saved." I think every contestant who has tried this has bombed out. It could be that they are concentrating on doing things quickly and lose track of the big picture.

How did this guy do on Jeopardy?

I am surprised that the contestant and Weyoun did not notice that only one of the $7500 involves a ride on a set of tracks, like a railway.

Maybe you need to really like roller coasters to automatically know that Coney Island had the first coaster. (My son is a coaster fanatic.)

He was the 1996 College Champion, winning $32,800 and a Volvo. He won $5,000 in that year's Tournament of Champions. He lost in round three of 2005's Ultimate Tournament of Champions, netting $55,400 in the process.

My favorite Broadway musical is Assassins... Listen to the Ballad of Czolsizsdfndf and you'll know everything the show could ever ask about McKinley. Likewise for most of the others, although the Ballad of Booth is fairly light on info (other than Sic Semper Tyrannus, but I'd expect that for $25,000 at highest).

Well I've done it three times before, all successfully. But I agree, I am a visual person. On Jeopardy, the toughest questions for me are the Clue Crew ones where there's no text.

Another rough patch. "Switchback" suggests something that goes back and forth, which only a roller coaster does of the four choices.
