Yeah, and I love calling my mom or swampyturtles at this time of year.
The 'I told you so' thing got old a long time ago!

I lived in West Hartford, CT for three years. I loved Spring and Fall, but the Winters were so hard to deal with. I just never felt like I could get warm.

We got 14 inches of snow Monday/Tuesday. It's all supposed to melt by the weekend when it will go up to 50 degrees with rain. Isn't January weather interesting?

As I tell BD when she complains about the weather at this time of year: "It's winter. It's New England. Get over it."
Probably zero degrees this AM with a nasty wind chill (oh, excuse me, "real feel") while I stood outside waiting for Midnight to finish doing her thing so I could help her up the deck stairs. I must really love GW. Midnight is definitely HER dog, yet I'm the one shivering out in the cold. Wouldn't do it for anyone else, that's for sure.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

True, but GW is the dog person in the family and I'm the cat person. It's genetic. HS takes after GW and loves dogs more, and BD takes after me and loves cats more. The animals know it, too, and definitely favor the predisposed humans.

I made it back from the doctor with snotcicles hanging from my nose.
It's 17.4° with a 22 MPH wind.

Our wind chill took us to -15 this morning, about the same expected for tomorrow.
By Monday, we are expected to flirt with 50.

Here in the City of Brotherly Mummers, it's been in the teens overnight. Wind chill makes it feel like the teens during the day.
We're supposed to go to 60 on Monday.
It will be 48 degress when Boonie and I -- along with our friends Mary and John -- clean out part of TLAF's house on Sunday.
That will be fine. That will seem balmy compared to the last couple of days.

By the way, Marley, there will be four more years of Ithaca visits: my other nephew just got into Cornell. Even more happily for his father, he got into STATE Cornell ...
