7 degrees outside
4 in Pine Plains.

10 degrees here in the "gateway to the South" - I blame the Canadians. It's their cold air, smuggled in on a jet stream, that's causing this cold weather.peacock2121 wrote:4 in Pine Plains.

The current weather map is kind of strange. Some rain on the west coast, with the rest of the country dominated by two big high pressure systems, and no other significant weather systems or fronts.
But there's a warm front moving east through Manitoba and North Dakota.

Yesterday morning it was 5 degrees here in KC.peacock2121 wrote:4 in Pine Plains.

The problem however is not the temperature outside, the problem is the temperature inside my office this am = 55 degrees. I have my space heater on maxium capacity. They know about the problem, but, there is nothing that they can do. I share a thermostat with a research mouse room, and they like it 62 degrees.
However, they are inside, my office has two windows, that are not totally insulated, therefore, its cold in here! Hey, they have fur coats covering their little mouse butts! I have on longjohns, polartech socks, and warm shoes. Its coooooooolllllllllldddddddd in heeeeerrrrrrrrreeeeee!

Our low was 17. Really cold for this area. Of course, all the students are out of town, I work in insurance, and next week everyone will be in about the frozen pipes that occurred since they don't leave any heat on in the apartments.!
