Oh, crap

#1 Post by silvercamaro » Mon Dec 31, 2007 12:42 pm

Annie will be spending New Year's Eve with her favorite vet. She's back in 24-hour care. Between 8 a.m. (when I called to schedule an appointment for 3) and 11 a.m., one of her legs began to swell to twice the size of the other one. I called back. "Bring her over right now," was the response.

The swelling could be from a blood clot or an infection. She is going back on IV, and she'll spend tonight and tomorrow in the doggie emergency center. My cell phone will remain in my hand for the next two days.

This is so frightening. The three of us two-leggers and Apache the greyhound will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers.

oh, jeez!

Back to thinking nothing but good thoughts for our brownhound (and you).

Melly editing -- That makes it sounds like we somehow abandoned good thoughts for Annie's recovery, which was never the case.

Make it accelerated good thoughts.

Oh, Judy, I'm sorry. Give her my love and soft scritches, please.

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Well, she came home to finish the 2007 on-line games, & here's hoping she doesn't miss too much of the New Years'.

Crap is right! Annie and her entire pack are on the receiving end of many good thoughts and prayers from the gang in Tulsa.

Please keep us posted, Judy.

Oh, dear! I know Annie likes her very nice doctors, but that's no place to spend New Year's Eve. Good thoughts going out to all of the Camaro household.

Yeah, what you said. :(

Annie's supposed to be drinking champagne, not getting high on morphine. :(

Poor sweet girl. Still, she's tough and will fight this off like she has everything else.

Lots of love and scritches.

Hang in there, mom!

This sweet girl doesn't need this, neither does Dear Annie.

Get well soon, get home soon,
