Tough Week
in the Calvinator household.
Aside from Christmas, that is.
Mrs. Cal's Grandmother passed away Monday. A Great Uncle passed away yesterday. Today, my dad called to tell me that my Uncle (his older brother) died this morning.
Mrs. Cal's family members were older, but the deaths were not necessarily anticipated.
My Uncle had been fighting cancer for the past year and a half. When he was first diagnosed with cancer of the lungs, liver, and lymph nodes, the Dr. said he had about 6 months. He made it closer to 18. The 3L cancer had gone into remission, and then it sprung up in his brain. That went into remission for a short time, but it came back everywhere about a month ago. I got up to see him in early November.
Mrs. Cal is flying to Michigan tomorrow.
My Uncle's funeral is January 2nd.
