Now that I think about it, it wasn't a game, but a holiday greeting post. And I believe the perpetrator was TiV. I didn't even realize he had goofed up until someone else pointed it out....)

I am guessing this is like the game Earendel mentioned earlier or else I am not going to do well.
A Christmas song game was already posted? No wonder it's so easy. Damn, I'm going to have to start reading posts one of these days. Ha!
My sister usually has a Christmas word type game to occupy some time on Christmas. This one was year before last, I think. I found it in the box of Christmas junk that I finally opened the other day.

You're not getting rid of me that easily, beyotch! I'm not quite dead yet. It's my goal to manage 31-derful (ha!) consecutive days of QOD frivolity before I succumb to an attack of the vapours and have to take to my bed a la Florence Nightingale. 24 down, 7 to go, YAY!!1
On an unrelated note....
I wonder how someone would verbally threaten them with a good time?

Yeah, you were all primed to show off your mad Florence Henderson and Growing Pains skillz, weren't you? Too bad!
These are all descriptions of Christmas songs in the quiz portion today. Since the wording is important, you'll need to have the title exact.
12/24 Name that Carol
1. Away in a Manger
2. Silver Bells
3. The Twelve Days of Christmas
4. Noel (I think you stole this from me, I stole it from Hitchcock)
5. It Came Upon a Midnight Clear
QOD: Meet Me in St Louis
5 Point Bonus: What line was changed to “hang a shining star upon the highest bough” at the request of Frank Sinatra?
You got me on this one.
An excellent QoD!
Enjoy every sandwich

12/24 Name that Carol
1. Far back in a hay bin. -- Away in a Manger
2. Cup-shaped instruments fashioned of a whitish metallic element. -- Silver Bells
3. 288 Yuletide hours. -- The Twelve Days of Christmas
4. A B C D E F G H I J K M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z -- I think you're looking for "Noel" (No-"L"), but I don't know of a carol with just that as the title. Do you mean "The First Nowell"?
5. Twelve o'clock on a clement night witnessed its arrival. -- It Came Upon a Midnight Clear (though sometimes "the" is used instead of "a")
QOD: For what movie was the song “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” written? -- Meet Me in St. Louis (Is this the 2nd reference you've had to this movie in the QODs?)
5 Point Bonus: What line was changed to “hang a shining star upon the highest bough” at the request of Frank Sinatra? -- "Until then we'll have to muddle through somehow"

Had anyone invoked Brady or Seaver, they would've gotten Super Secret Special Bonus Points. Regretfully, they went unclaimed.

4. A B C D E F G H I J K M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z
THE FIRST NOEL
Just because there is no Second L, doesn't mean the only one isn't the first one. Ha!
I took any form of Noel on this (my exact direction meant another song that would kind of fit the description, since the actual answers fit them best).
5. Twelve o'clock on a clement night witnessed its arrival.
IT CAME UPON A MIDNIGHT CLEAR
QOD: For what movie was the song “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” written?
MEET ME IN SAINT LOUIS
Although this is one of my all time favourites, it has not been an answer yet this month (jbillygirl, I think you put it as an answer at some point, but it was not the correct one).
5 Point Bonus: What line was changed to “hang a shining star upon the highest bough” at the request of Frank Sinatra?
UNTIL THEN, WE'LL HAVE TO MUDDLE THROUGH SOMEHOW
As long you had 'muddle through somehow' in there, you got credit. I saw an interview once with Hugh Martin and the original lyrics were incredibly bleak. I preferred those lyrics, but I'm weird like that. Ha!
