Yes, it does, but you have to leave it on longer (hence the 'until it's fried' comment). Used to take me HOURS to do it. I think crimping came back into vogue a few years ago because my niece wanted me to give her my hair crimper. Hey, what about setting up the table in the backyard? I mean, store it in the garage or whatever, but keep it out there when the weather's nice.
