Never too late to develop a new image of a sweet, helpful, loving brother. Now is as
good as any time to try it out. Take your nephews to a Cardinals game with you some
time. Try it, you might like it. :)

kay

I took one of them to a game 3 years ago, and it happened to be the day the LBN overheated on the highway (This was before I had the cellphone I never bring with me anyway).....

It was also memorable for being Seat Cushion Night II (Only I got a seat cushion since they weren't given to the kids, so I let him keep it and told him to hang onto it since it was a part of Cardinals history.... my Grandma & Grandpa still have the seat cushion from the original seat cushion game in 1987)...

Me and my Dad also took them both to Kansas City that August to see a doubleheader.....

I can be nice you know.....

lb13
What's up with that? If a seat is paid for, then a seat cushion should be given! Doesn't matter who is sitting in it, it matters that it was paid for. I would have insisted on getting a cushion for every ticket purchased! Then again, I live for promo nights, it makes me mad when there's one where things are ONLY given to kids. My Carmelo beanie baby and my Rocky soap dispenser are proud mementos of Promo Nights Past.

(If baseball has a "kid rate" like movie theaters do, then disregard previous paragraph.)

Maybe you could play by yourself by putting the table up against the wall, or would that just be too pathetic?

Maybe you should come over and teach me how to play.....

lb13
Whoops, I didn't realize there was a page 2 and 59865033 people had already suggested the playing by yourself thing.

It would be difficult for me to teach you since you'd never manage to return one of my wicked left spin serves. Best to get some solo practice in first so you'll at least know what it's like to hit the ball.

Have you ever seen the episode of King of Queens where Arthur takes on Doug as a ping pong student? It's somewhat Karate Kid-ish and very funny.

You could have stopped that last question at Queens, and my answer would have been "no".....

I just might have an answer for your wicked left spin serve..... if you leave now, you might get here by the time we drag the table over here tomorrow morning....

The ticket was full price and part of a package I got for Christmas. The seat opened up because on that day she happened to be in Fanny's back yard on the first leg of her and my Dad's trip out west.....

The sponsor was a jewelry company as i recall, and not a beer company, so I don't know why the kids got jipted.....

LOL! I know that episode! He has him use wooden spoons. KOQis one of the few sitcoms I enjoyed. I thought it was genuinely funny, and especially liked all the pop culture references.
