So if you're reading this thread, whether you post everyday or hardly ever, please take time to leave a reply, even if it's just a simple hello. I know things are a bit different this year since the Memberlist basically lists who is all "here" and we're not likely to see any surprises like last year, but we have a lot of BB's who have registered but have made few or no posts in this Bored's 2 and a half month life.
So, let your presence be known during this, *cough* (ahem), most wonderful time of the year! I will leave this as a Sticky until after New Years....

Samantha Eliza was born at 10:55am on Monday the 14th. She was 7 lbs 14 oz and
20 inches long. She is really thriving, too. She eats regularly and sleeps a
lot. In fact, I just fed her and she is sound asleep right now. It's kinda
weird. She looks exactly like Madeleine did when she was born. Madeleine's
baby pics look identical to Samantha. It's a little Twilight Zoneish.
Y'all prolly know that she was delivered by c-section and that was certainly
the roughest part. The recovery is really long and ya just don't bounce back
from them like a normal delivery. I'm really sorry that I didn't post the good
news about Samantha earlier but when I got home yesterday afternoon I was a
zombie I was so tired. Of course, the Tylox they gave me for incision pain
makes me even more tired. Today has been better for all of us cuz I was able
to nap for a while this morning. I really wanna thank Bix for posting that
everything was doing fine, fine, fine. She is one heckuva BB! I spoke to her
on the phone a little while ago and she could not have been sweeter. BTW, Bix,
that was my hubby you spoke to.
I am just so happy that our new little addition is here eventhough things are
really hectic right now. Babies are just such a blessing! Thanks to each and
every one of you who thought of me and Samantha Monday morning. And thanks to
all of y'all that were concerned about me not posting in the last few days.
Y'all are top notch.
I'm looking forward to catching up on all the audition news and other good
news over the next few days but for now I'm gonna go do what Samantha is
doing. I'm gonna go find a nice comfy spot and grab a little cat nap.
Later!

OK. That makes sense. I was coming from the viewpoint that nothing that I have done/said here really is Bored Hisotry. It always seemed like a term filled with power and sanctity (hence the capital letters).littlebeast13 wrote:Appa23 wrote:What am I missing about Bored History? True, but it is made up of a handful of rather big stories and a whole lot of minutae. And in most cases, it's that minutae that make Bored history so interesting after all!
And I don't think I ever capitalize history, just Bored. Bored, when referring to our home, should always be capitalized....

Yes, my husband and I are very big LSU fans. David is an LSU grad. Yes, we are thrilled that the Tigers are in the nat. championship.Appa23 wrote:Am I recalling correctly that you are a LSU fan?
I have been wanting to ask someone about their impressions of Bo Pelini.
Pelini will be a good fit at Nebraska. We are sorry to see him go but I can certainly understand why he left for Lincoln. Nebraska fans always like a native son. And they like someone who wins. Duh. I'm prolly not gonna tell you anything you don't already know.
Now, there is a big stack of unwrapped gifts sitting in the corner of my closet waiting to be wrapped while my two oldest aren't home.

Well, Pelini is more like an adopted son, but we will treat him as if he is a native son. Of course, as a tightwad, I am liking the fact that he has been working and recruiting for Nebraska for the past few weeks while being paid by LSU. (He will not sign a contract with Nebraska until after the BCS title game.)

My saint of a mother got the girls pic taken with Santa Claus the day after Thanksgiving and the girls are all wearing their LSU cheeleader outfits. My scanner is a piece-o-crap otherwise it would be my avatar.
