Is it possible that Billy misheard the question and thought John was asking which country was half the size of the US? Otherwise this seems inexplicable.

But that would be wrong, too, since Brazil is only slightly smaller than the US.

Well, I thought the question about the size of the countries was extremely easy but then most Canadians know that we're 2nd in size in the world to Russia. We are not twice the size of the U.S. so the only answer could be Russia. I also think the PAF heard it wrong and went for the country that was half the size of the U.S. OR he's a total imbecile.

I've heard the term Nosy Parker many times in my childhood but not lately.
