I am bragging a little sorry, GRADUATION DAY!

#1 Post by Timsterino » Mon Dec 17, 2007 11:44 pm

Well gang!

I did it! I am finally graduating today from Florida International University with my Bachelors in History! What graduation day will total for me in the future is anyone's guess but now I am proud and really amazed that it has come to pass.

I really want to thank more than anyone, my wife Erika. She has been at my side the entire time and I feel like she is getting her second Bachelors tomorrow. Without the support of the ones who love you, life can be difficult and miserable. Erika was and always will be my rock.

This road was hard and uphill but the feeling of accomplishment is simply amazing. :)

If you are really bored around 3PM ET Tuesday (today) you can watch the commencement live on the net here:

Gotta love technology! :)

Thank you all for being a buddy.

No need to apologize for bragging about such an accomplishment. Congrats!
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

No. It shouldn't. Ever.

Many congratulations to you, Tim! You've worked hard for this and are entitled to brag.

Congratulations are also sent to Erika. I'm sure she's put in some hours of her own.

THANK YOU EVERYBODY!!

#22 Post by Timsterino » Tue Dec 18, 2007 11:13 pm

Thank you, everyone! Today was a fantastic day! My brother flew in from California and I had one of the proudest days of my life!

Erika was a big part of this and I thank her for always being there by my side.

What to do with a History degree? Good question. I am thinking of teaching and going for my Masters and then Doctorate. I would love to teach in a University one day. :)

Problem with teaching is I will take a pay cut but you know, I have to follow the passion and it isn't about the paycheck.

The picture was taken at the premiere of last season's Nip/Tuck and the person in the picture with us was Kelly Carlson. But I am changing the picture now for obvious reasons. :)

THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!! :)

Attaboy, Tim! Always nice to hear these success stories, especially at the end of a grueling (for me, anyway) semester.

And you look very impressive in your graduation robe, too.

I can't wait to hear the first lecture by Professor Timsterino! :)
