Meredith's blog today

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Mon Dec 17, 2007 1:02 pm

You know how cute it is to see a kitten playfully swat the balls and ornaments on a Christmas tree? It’s such a Currier and Ives moment. Until the cat pulls down the entire tree.

If this were a court of law I'd never have a case because we actually never witnessed the tree falling.
No witnesses? Any decent lawyer could have the charges dismissed!

Have you sent her an invitation?

I just let her know we still exist.

You did! You really did!

Bob has the following comment on Meredith's blog:
It's too bad you don't read the "WWTBAM Bored". We had a discussion there about this very thing about a month ago. Some of us have resorted to fences and pet-off spray.

Do you think that Mere ever reads those comments? Or will we just be getting some visitors from her Today Show fan club?

It may well be that the spelling of the last part of this site, when not fully understood in context, may well make our site seem less than appealing to "the Mere". Or whomever the person is that actually ends up having to read her blog for her...

Hmmm. Perhaps.

The APs who have supposedly kept an eye on us over the years surely have had a chance to learn the derivation, haven't they?

And if this comes freshly to Meredith's attention, surely she'll remember her time with Bob in the Hot Seat and that will speak well enough for us! :)

Um, folks, do we WANT Meredith's attention? At least those of us who haven't made it into the hot seat yet? I'm not sure how close an association you need to someone in production before you get disqualified.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Well, I was joking when I first suggested that Bob send her an invitation and I was somewhat surprised that he followed through. I think the odds are vanishingly small that Meredith would actually take the time to visit here (Corollary: Anyone arriving here claiming to be Meredith would most likely be an imp). Perhaps an AP would stop by, but we already know they've done that at our old Boreds.

However, if she did consent to a short dialog with us, either in this forum, her own blog, or somewhere else, I don't see that that would constitute a disqualifying relationship.

My tree is always firmly attached to the wall (actually, to a curtain tie-back hook) by a sturdy cord. I know cats! My poor little Nativity Set folks, though, appear to be fair game!

Back when the kids were tiny, we did have a smaller table-top tree & went the baby-gate route to block it off. I don't think that would work with kitties as well as with kiddies!

How do we know it's really you? After all, as has already been pointed out, you could be, well, anyone. --Bob

So how come you guys who can check people's IP addresses let ABC_Sue go without a MM tag?
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.
