Dolphins Win!
22-16 over Baltimore in OT
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

The Dolphins had not won a game all season and were set to go winless for the season. Next week they play the undefeated Patriots.peacock2121 wrote:This is a big deal..... because?

Re: Dolphins Win!
I was watching the game while on the elliptical machine at the gym. After Baltimore missed the field goal, CBS cut away to commercial. They got back just in time to display the final score. They missed the play!themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:22-16 over Baltimore in OT
Worst TV coverage I've seen since the Heidi game (which I am barely old enough to remember watching). --Bob

I got the same in NY. I thought it was because it was "bonus coverage" after our game was over. Due to contract w/NFL CBS and FOX are limited in such coverage and can't show live coverage out-of-market after 4:15 PM EST when the other network's featured national game kicks off.Bob78164 wrote:I was watching the game while on the elliptical machine at the gym. Not as sweet, IMO, as if Miami had lost today, but won next week.littlebeast13 wrote:This was the best chance for an 0-16 team since Detroit got off to that hideous start 6 years ago. I am unhappy it had to end on an overtime win....
Having a 16-0 team and an 0-16 team in the same division would have been sweet....

Having a 0-14 team beat a 14-0 team. Now that would be sweet. Love to see Brady in the news conference. "Yeah, we let them win. We felt sorry for them. We still have home field advantage, so what's the big deal?"

I agree, that's what I had really been hoping for.BackInTex wrote:Having a 0-14 team beat a 14-0 team. Now that would be sweet.
But I'm glad to see the Dolphins win one. No one should ever have to suffer through a winless season. A one-win season is bad enough....I remember suffering along with the Cowboys during 1989's 1-15 debacle.
