If I'm not mistaken, today were the first road auditions. Any news anyone on stuff like whether they are doing second taped interviews, changes to what we've been discussing?

Hey, Bob! And everyone else. Am I supposed to be PM'ing you, Bob? With my info? I apologize for my newbieness. I feel like an oldie, since I did try out for WWTBAM 'way back in the dark days of Reegedom... but I am admittedly a pretty lackadaisical Bored buddy.

Anyhoo. I passed the Nashville test, got an interview, and went on to the second videotaped interview. Where I bombed egregiously and was summarily dismissed from the room within about 3 minutes, 24 seconds. Everyone else I saw getting a video interview was in there for at least 12 to 17 minutes. (Yes, I stood there with my cell phone and kept checking the times when the line inched forward a bit.)

And also -- can I just say? -- I don't think there were as many people trying out for Millionaire in Nashville as the production crew expected. There were not as many people trying out as *I* expected, and I am a dunderhead. If someone is on the fence about heading to Charlotte, Tampa, or Indianapolis, I would have to say -- go, go! I think your chances are splendid!

P.S. -- Jaybee knows this, but I absolutely cannot believe I passed that test. It was hard for me, and I was convinced that I had failed. I mean, really, REALLY convinced. I also thought I failed when I took the very different Fastest Finger test in Miami 'way back in 2001, but really. This one fooled me in a major way. I think I just guessed correctly on a couple of Q's. Luck of the draw.

I do a pretty good job keeping up with announcements wherever they may occur, and when I do miss something, someone else usually points me in the right direction.

Nice, Bay, I would keep that optimism going, I think you have a really good chance. After reading Nelly's post, I have to say I am rather shocked that that he didn't get a second interview, given his "trump card" of writing his own rap music. What do you think you might have done that may have been the "clincher" for the secret interview?

Today I received my postcard from the movie test, June 4. Someone I met while standing in line also passed the test; however, he received his card last Monday. I wonder if they do a daily review of test passers and maybe I made it to one of the final cuts; the guy who got his card on Monday lives near me, so we should have received them the same day. I can't explain why he got his card five days before me.

Did you both make it to the video-taped interview? If so, the people who get taped may be getting a tentative thumbs up from the road crew, but someone back at the main office may have to watch the videos to make a final decision. It could explain the time difference if there are a lot of videos to watch.

I auditioned on June 4th, in NYC, at 5pm for the regular test and 7pm for the movie test. I passed both tests but didn't get the video interview for the regular. I did make it to the video interview for the movie test (Yes, basketball junkie, they did have video interviews for the movie test, there were about 7 of us that got them) Unfortunately, even with getting the video interview, I still got 2 postcards. Oh well, maybe they'll head down to the DC/VA/MD area and I can try again. My hubby says I can't fly up to NYC to just audition again.

Just a quick word about the video interview.

Last June I auditioned in NYC, passed the test, and was interviewed by a cute YOUNG thing. Then, she asked me if I could stay for a video interview (did I tell you all of this before?). Only 3 of us had video interviews. One was a lady about my age (in other words, an older person) named Bonnie from CA. I thought I got her phone number/email--but never was able to get in touch with her (I thought she had a GREAT chance of getting on--did anyone see her this season??). Anyway, they took Bonnie and I through the bowels of ABC to the WWTBAM set and then up to the dressing rooms for our video. Altho' I thought my interview went well, I got another "sorry" postcard.
