Storm cleanup has begun

I don't have a chainsaw, but I have some pruning loppers, which will take care of small branches, about 1" or less. I started cutting.

I made a path to the back gate, so the prospect of Lizbit's door-locking trick will be less terrifying. I also cut off branches and twigs that were sticking off bigger branches in the path of where the dogs tend to chase each other. I made nine big piles of former tree bits so far. According to the city, I have to tie up smaller bundles with a maximum length of 4 ft. and carry them to the curb for eventual pickup. I didn't make that many bundles all last summer.

I haven't made a dent in what's yet to be done, but I think I can have the yard tidied up by next August. We are supposed to have snow tomorrow, but I intend to keep it away with the heat of my white-hot glare of righteousness.

Pruning and sawing will be added to my President's Challenge points.
