Their spouse, who works near home, called to say "its snowing like crazy". Meanwhile, about 20 miles north of their home up here in Cambridge, it ain't doing nuthin' yet.
I thought this storm was coming from the west. Well, OK, southwest.

NH. I'll be heading down into it. Supposed to be lighter up here (2"-4") according to one forecaster, or pretty much uniform (6"-10") across MA and lower NH according to another. Update: Snow has officially begun to fall in Cambridge, MA. Light, fluffy looking flakes. Which I can see out the window. Now they're falling faster, even as I speak.
I should perhaps be scared, but I parked in the landlady's driveway after patiently waiting for the middle-floor tenant to leave it, & walked late to work.
So I'll be walking back.
The Big Boss here never thinks enough of us peons to officially send us home. The previous Big Boss did. We miss that, & so many other things of previous years.
My boss gave me the go-ahead to leave whenever it looks bad, or early enough to prevent bad if I wish; they know I'm walking. If the place looks deserted enough, I may just stop working, even though I'm buried in it, & watch those TV episodes I meant to catch up on on the computer.
I am just not yet officially scared enough. What scares me is ice to walk on, & ice to drive on. We don't have that yet. Had it earlier this week, but by yesterday it was all blessedly melted away. At least this stuff won't be falling on an existing ice base.

In this town, it's kind of traditional for companies to let their employees go during a big snowstorm about 15 minutes before the sheriff officially closes all the road. It turns out that show I didn't know if I wanted to watch, so had been taping "most of", but with a few misses (like Thanksgiving Week & the week they showed one on a "wrong night"), is not on the internet. Oh well. Wait for reruns, if I still have enough interest. There certainly will be plenty reruns this year!
So I guess I'm outa here.
Of the new shows, you can tell what they're trying to push by "availables on line". Some long-running shows, doing well in syndication, must have it written into their contracts that they won't be available on-line (ER isn't, none of the Lawn Orders are, Without A Trace isn't) but I'd say a "no on-line shows" clause for a new show would be a death wish. So if the production company didn't nix it, why not put all new shows there?
