Don't worry, no cookies are going to get wet...

And after yesterday's cleaning spree, even if I wanted to make cookies, I don't have at least 50% of the necessary ingredients. Grocery shopping is on today's agenda.

Yep, mine too. My Pepsi is lonely in the icebox....

I'm down to one egg, a brita full of water, about a spoonful of almond butter, about 1/4 container of organic rice mik...and about 75 condiments. And I'm suddenly starving.

Don't forget the Chips Ahoy.

Those are only for lunch at work..... I would never take Hooligan's cookies to such a low class establishment as Mecca.....

So you're gonna have a hard boiled egg with ketchup for lunch?

In the early days of the Food Network, they had a cooking game show called (I think) "Ready, Set, Cook." Contestants were given a limited number of ingredients that didn't necessarily seem to go together and a certain amount of time to make a dish from them. I always liked that show, and it taught me that I probably could make a meal from whatever was available. Since I don't like running to the grocery store all the time, that has become a convenient skill.

It's a skill I need to work on - I'm at the store probably 6 times a week, and twice in a day in not uncommon. I have organizational issues...

Seems like you need to learn how to cook the one-egg almond butter omelet, with condiments on the side. And develop a taste for it as well.

Oh, I could cook it. A taste for it, however, I think not. I don't buy or eat almond butter, anyway. I need to prepare menus and then stick to them, instead of acting on whatever whim strikes me on my way home from work, necessitating a stop at the store for ingredients for a chicken pizza or pepper steak....mmmm. pepper steak...

I could too, but eww I would not be eating it.

I love almond butter. I still use peanut butter on bread, because almond butter doesn't spread well, but I love to eat it on apples. So good.

I act on whim...which usually results in take out rather than cooking...which at some point (like today) leads to a barren refrigerator. I do have stuff in the cabinets, just not that much and nothing complete. Pasta without sauce...tuna without bread...etc.

That was a fun show, Sissy Biggers, or something like that.

I would always try to think of a better dish than they came up with.
