Unless you've seen it before. It surprises many people to learn that there are only two European capitals that are south of Washington, D.C., and in both cases it's quite close. Athens is one, and Lisbon is the other. --Bob

I could immediately throw out B (since I know that almost all of Brazil is south of the equator, and all of India is north) and D (since I know the UK is really far north....like on the same latitude as Newfoundland; and Beijing, while in Northern China, is closer to my own latitude). I'd have needed the DD for the other two, though....ASSuming I still had it.
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

Despite the 45-second clock in my face, I immediately eliminated B and D and quickly pictured the world map with Washington and Athens being at roughly the same latitude.

My hat's off to teachers in general but especially to those who work with special needs kids.

It's not B or D, and since I have DD remaining I'll use it and make A and C** my two final answers (in no particular order).
A pity that Fred had to waste two lifelines on Friday - I'd like to have seen him go higher up the tree as a reward for his persistence.
**Fixed. Thanks to Nelly's pointing out my error.
