$100 - One could argue that the "joke answer" is also true.

$25k - Way to get her to waste her lifelines, Mere! Sheesh!

Nihil obstat® on the first ten.

I seem to recall "Hail Columbia" once being the answer to a $250,000 question on PTBAM.

I'd have gone to DD figuring it was either the VP or the First Lady.

Going for $50K with three lifelines still available.

I've been trying to figure out what a $250K Harry Potter question might be about and whether I could answer it. Would they ask about the first names of the founders of the houses - for instance:

$250K - Which of the following is not a founder of a Hogwarts house?
A - Godric Gryffindor
B - Helena Hufflepuff
C - Salazar Slytherin
D - Rowena Ravenclaw

Wow, another stack with no problems to 25K. That is unusual for me!

I know the show has no particular interest in a millionaire winner but they must be on a serious hunt for 25+ thousandaires instead of the usual result of thousandaires or players quitting at 8K or 16K.

And I thought sweeps were over...

Then why call the show "Millionaire"?? I've been waiting for someone--ANYONE--to go anywhere near all the way ever since Nancy Christy in May 2003 (!), but only a select few have. Winning $25K or $50K is good, but the contestants (hypothetically) could win SO much more ...

I've been wondering about this for years ...

Helga Hufflepuff, I think.

Now to go check.
