Vibage Request

#1 Post by Vandal » Thu Dec 06, 2007 9:41 pm

I snail mailed an agent three chapters and a synopsis on Monday and today she emailed and said she would love to continue reading it and would I send the entire manuscript.

My baby's going to New York City!

The agent didn't ask for an exclusive, which is good because I have partial manuscripts out with four other agents and they may want a piece of the action, too.

So, I'm printing out all 296 pages and placing them (unbound) in a manuscript box. First thing tomorrow, I'll battle the Christmas crowd at the PO and see her off.

So please help me out. Send the vibes in the general direction of W 17th Street in NYC.

The real waiting begins.

Thanks.

Thank you for your original explanation. Although you sent me the message via PM, I wanted to publicly thank you for giving me a bit of history of what had transpired thus far.

LOL "Vandal"! I knew I had heard that name recently, but couldn't remember where! Thanks for clearing that up as well.

Best of leg breakage!!!

You apparently haven't seen the ads where a ghost is turned back into a real person by taking Theraflu. :P

Vandal....

This is a major Woohoo!!

I know you can't afford to get your hopes up too high, so I'll do it for you. This is a really important step -- I know you know, but I"m not sure how many outside the "biz" do.

Yay, Vandal! Very exciting for you, but a bit hard, I bet, sending your baby off. Very best wishes for every success!

I am listening to Julia Child's 'My Life in France' where she talks about her trials and tribulations of publishing Mastering the Art of French Cooking among other things.

A lot of work!

Congratulations and best wishes for publishing!
