Happy Birthday, Madeleine!

#1 Post by Tocqueville3 » Tue Mar 24, 2009 7:18 am

Today is Madeleine's 10th birthday. I cannot believe my little girl is TEN. Sigh...

Tonight, we will have her favorite meal. Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and Caesar salad. Good thing Samantha likes that also because I am not a short order cook. I'm on my way to Dream Cakes right now to pick up some cupcakes for us to have for dessert tonight.

Friday night is the big 10th birthday extravaganza. Six of her friends are coming to our house for a sleepover. Yay. They will eat pizza and birthday cake any other junk that i have and stay up until whenever. Yay. I have already purchased a really nice bottle of wine to take the edge off of six little girls sleeping over at my house. Madeleine is really jazzed about this so I guess I am jazzed for her. Yay.

Some of us were over at Lake Powell about a million years ago, and I heard a mom say, "You can't ride in the back of the pickup until your age is in two numbers!"

I hope Madeleine gets some sort of extra privilege for the two digits.

Wishing a Happy Birthday to Madeleine! And may you survive the sleepover without a hangover. :)

It's my daughter's birthday today too!
