The shuttle-ISS last night

The linked space shuttle and International Space Station passed directly overhead last night. I went outside to see it. It appeared as a very bright spot of light that moved steadily up the sky, passed overhead, then sank majestically toward the opposite horizon. About four minutes total for the transit. Seriously cool to watch.

No, I didn't wave. :P
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I missed last night, but I've seen this before. Very cool. Also fun to see one following the other either just prior to docking or as shuttle prepares for re-entry.

I have done that once or twice as well. Also been lucky enough to see a couple of shuttle launches as well. But one of the neatest things to see to me was when I watched the 747 with the shuttle riding piggy back land at Lackland AFB in San Antonio on the way back from California (when it still landed at Edwards AFB with some regularity) to the Cape.

I got to see the shuttle riding on a 747 back in the early 80's....I was about 8 or 9, I think. I don't even know for sure which AFB it was, but it's a favorite memory of mine, nonetheless.

I also got to see the ISS pass overhead in the summer of 2007, when I was pulling the 4am shift at work. A co-worker of mine had looked it up, and we ran outside sometime after 5:00 am to see it.
