Color me cynical-But I know what that murderous feline was thinking-

"If I seek my teeth in here, this thing could feed me for a week."

Plus I figure him "Pretending" to go to sleep was just a way of gaining the elk's confidence and also a way to mark his "lunch" and keep the other evil kitties away.

I, too, thought the kitty was tasting, to see if he wanted to take a bite later.

I was also very concerned about the bunny rabbit's future. But it was a pretty big bunny.
