My webhost reports that there was a circuit breaker failure in the datacenter. The resulting power loss didn't affect the servers themselves, but did cause a number of the network switches to go down for a while. In layman's terms, the server which hosts my account was fine....it just lost its internet connection for a bit. Anyway, they reset a circuit breaker, and tested all the servers individually (which was probably the majority of the delay) and now all is well.

In related news, I've just realized that it's been two and a half months since lb13 and I did some late-night testing of a new chat program, so perhaps I'll finally get around to putting the finishing touches on it sometime soon. I may get some of you regular chatters to check it out one night coming up.
