One final Tuesday Wordplay for your enjoyment.....

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist....

1. Oceans apart day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain

2. I saw the decade in, when it seemed
the world could change at the blink of an eye
And if anything
then there's your sign of the times

3. I was standin' at 7:15
Waitin' for my baby's car
Just when out stepped the driver of a limousene
And asked if I was going far

4. I like the way you look in them pants, see ya fine (fine)
Lil momma a quarter piece, she far from a dime (dime)
The type of girl that'll getcha' up and go make you grind (grind)
I'm thinkin' about snatchin' her up, dirty, makin' her mine

5. We'll go drinkin' in some heavy bar
I'll take you night ridin' in my chevy car
When it's me and you baby
We could think of somethin' to do

6. Seems so long I been out on my own
Travel light and I'm always alone
Guess I was born with a travellin' bone
When my times up, I'll hold my own
You won't find me in an old folks home

7. Do you remember the day -(that sunny day)- when you first came my way,
I said no-once con take your place.
And if you get hurt -(if you get hurt)- by the little things I say,
I can put that smile back on your face.

8. I know how much I lean on you
Only you can see
The changes that I've been through
Have left a mark on me

9. Your pop caught you smoking, and he said, "No way!"
That hypocrite smokes two packs a day
Man, living at home is such a drag
Now your mom threw away your best porno mag

10. I been running trying to get hung up in my mind
Got to give myself a little talking to this time
Just need a little brain salad surgery
Got to cure this insecurity

11. How far away can you go
And still be dancing with me
Would you mind staying in the vicinity
I've not been faring badly
But I would gladly take you back

12. Miss a beat, you lose a rhythm
An nothin' falls into place. No!
Only missed by a fraction
Slipped a little off your pace. Oh!

Spoiler
Good thing the Beast Sisters don't play LS. They'd kick your ass for leaving out NKOTB (is there a T in front of the acronym? I did it both ways and this looks more "right". Ha!.

1. Oceans apart day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain

Right Here Waiting For You - Richard Marx

2. I saw the decade in, when it seemed
the world could change at the blink of an eye
And if anything
then there's your sign of the times

Right Here Right Now - Jesus Jones

3. I was standin' at 7:15
Waitin' for my baby's car
Just when out stepped the driver of a limousene
And asked if I was going far

If You're Going to Use Fancy Words, Spell Them Right - Estonut and the Pedants

4. I like the way you look in them pants, see ya fine (fine)
Lil momma a quarter piece, she far from a dime (dime)
The type of girl that'll getcha' up and go make you grind (grind)
I'm thinkin' about snatchin' her up, dirty, makin' her mine

Right Therre - Chingy

5. We'll go drinkin' in some heavy bar
I'll take you night ridin' in my chevy car
When it's me and you baby
We could think of somethin' to do

It's the Right Time of the Night - Jennifer Warnes

6. Seems so long I been out on my own
Travel light and I'm always alone
Guess I was born with a travellin' bone
When my times up, I'll hold my own
You won't find me in an old folks home

You Got That RIght - Lynyrd Skynyrd (but, sadly, not JJ Cale)

7. Do you remember the day -(that sunny day)- when you first came my way,
I said no-once con take your place.
And if you get hurt -(if you get hurt)- by the little things I say,
I can put that smile back on your face.

Right Back Where We Started From - Maxine Nightingale Every time I hear this song I picture Paul Newman dancing in leather bell bottoms. Also funny in that I was thinking that #5 was Jennifer Warren. But Jennifer Warnes is the singer, Jennifer Warren was Newman's wife in Slapshot. Ha!

8. I know how much I lean on you
Only you can see
The changes that I've been through
Have left a mark on me

Now Try the Right Side - Bruised on the Left

9. Your pop caught you smoking, and he said, "No way!"
That hypocrite smokes two packs a day
Man, living at home is such a drag
Now your mom threw away your best porno mag

Fight for Your Right (to Party) - Beastie Boys

10. I been running trying to get hung up in my mind
Got to give myself a little talking to this time
Just need a little brain salad surgery
Got to cure this insecurity

Right Place, Wrong Time - Dr. John I don't recall the phrase brain salad surgery (but with the other lines and the theme this has to be it), but now I wonder if this is where ELP got the phrase. Cause I somehow doubt Dr. John was listening to a whole lot of prog rock BITD. Btw, he was the musical guest at the NBA All-Star game when it was in New Orleans last year. I hadn't seen him in some time and, if possible, he's gotten even weirder. I love him!

11. How far away can you go
And still be dancing with me
Would you mind staying in the vicinity
I've not been faring badly
But I would gladly take you back

Get Your Ass Over Here Right Now, Karina - Maksim Chmierkovsky (you won't get this but, trust me, it's funny)

12. Miss a beat, you lose a rhythm
An nothin' falls into place. No!
Only missed by a fraction
Slipped a little off your pace. Oh!

Right Now - Van Hagar
Push it real good!

This is an 80's song that I can't remember. Or it's not and I'm hallucinating...

12. Miss a beat, you lose a rhythm
An nothin' falls into place. No!
Only missed by a fraction
Slipped a little off your pace. Oh!

I bet I could get more if you hadn't put my brain to sleep with the very first song... :P

Right Time Of The Night/Jennifer Warnes (I hate this song; its the "sex out of boredom" song; well, I think its this song, but I really don't remember the lead-in words, just the 'we could think of something to do/wink wink nudge nudge", which is what frosts me)

When my times up, I'll hold my own
You won't find me in an old folks home

7. Do you remember the day -(that sunny day)- when you first came my way,
I said no-once con take your place.
And if you get hurt -(if you get hurt)- by the little things I say,
I can put that smile back on your face.

Right Back Where We Started From - Maxine Nightengale

8. I know how much I lean on you
Only you can see
The changes that I've been through
Have left a mark on me

Right Down the Line - Gerry Rafferty

9. Your pop caught you smoking, and he said, "No way!"
That hypocrite smokes two packs a day
Man, living at home is such a drag
Now your mom threw away your best porno mag

Fight for Your Right to Party - The Beastie Boys

10. I been running trying to get hung up in my mind
Got to give myself a little talking to this time
Just need a little brain salad surgery
Got to cure this insecurity

Right Place, Wrong Time - Dr. John

11. How far away can you go
And still be dancing with me
Would you mind staying in the vicinity
I've not been faring badly
But I would gladly take you back

12. Miss a beat, you lose a rhythm
An nothin' falls into place. No!
Only missed by a fraction
Slipped a little off your pace. Oh!

Along with the first 3 lines, if the 4th line were "I've not been farTing badly," this could have been "Smells All Right" by the Peahens.

JJC Points:

Fanny gets 2 JJC points, one for forgetting that The Beast Sisters already hosted a game with the fitting NKOTB song in it (Or else I'd have definitely used it), and another for noticing a typo that passed through Estonut's filter....

Melo gets a JJC point for trying to teach me about "St. Louis things". I've lived here all my life and have never heard "thurr" or "therre" before. Of course, I have also never been asked where I went o high school, drank an InBev product or eaten an Imo's Pizza. If it weren't for the fact that I drink Pepsi and have an icebox, I might be confused for an out of towner.....

TBone gets 2 JJC points for flatulence humor...

elwood gets a JJC point for admitting he doesn't really need the 2 points he got....

Estonut gets 2 JJC points for the Travelling Boners....

Fanny 18+2
Melo 18+1

TBone 14+2

When I said Van Hagar it wasn't a slam, just a differentiation. (That's what Sammy calls them.) I like Van Hagar about as much as I like Van Halen. Which is to say, I like a few of their songs, dont really hate any of them, most are along the lines of whatever. Right Now is probably my favourite VHag.

Ah. Maybe it's the BDM reflex since I know he's used Van Hagar too in my ealry LS games (Back when he'd read my posts), and definitely in a disdainful way....
