And now, the long anticipated Part 3 of our year by year look at music that charted from 1958-2008. This time, we take a look at every third year beginning with 1958.....

As usual, this game is open until Monday morning....

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist.....

1. (1958) Now that you're gone
I'm left all alone
All by myself
To wander and roam
'cause I love my girl

2. (1961) Ah, I should have known it from the very start
This girl will leave me with a broken heart
Now listen people what I'm telling you

3. (1964) The night-time shadows disappear
And with them go all your tears
For the morning will bring joy
For every girl and boy

4. (1967) Hello lamppost, What cha knowing?
I've come to watch your flowers growing.
Ain't cha got no rhymes for me?

5. (1970) I took her home to my place
Watching ev'ry move on her face
She said " Look, what's your game baby
are you tryin' to put me in shame?"

6. (1973) I never thought about today would come
When she would leave without good-bye, yes, sir.
She wrote a line or two upon the wall --
Said, I’m leaving you, know I love you too,
I can’t stay with you

7. (1976) Crystal ball on the table
Showing the future, the past
Same cat with them evil eyes
And I knew it was a spell she'd cast.

8. (1979) Romantic Lady , single baby
Mmm sophisticated mama
Come on you disco lady yeah
Stay with me tonight , mama ,yeah

9. (1982) I don't bother chasing mice around
I slink down the alley looking for a fight
Howlin' to the moonlight on a hot summer night

10. (1985) Baby it's all I know
That you're half of the flesh
And blood makes me whole

11. (1988) I turn around in the still of the room
Knowin' this is when I'm gonna make my move
Can't wait any longer
And I'm feeling stronger but oh

12. (1991) how many times
did we give up
but we always worked things out
and all my doubts and fear
kept me wondering
if i'd always be in love

13. (1994) Love is in the water
Love is in the air
Show me where to go
Tell me will love be there

14. (1997) I need some love like I never needed love before
(wanna make love to ya baby)
I had a little love, now I'm back for more
(wanna make love to ya baby)
Set your spirit free, it's the only way to be

15. (2000) And I may seem alright
And smile when you leave
But my smiles are just a front, just a front

16. (2003) When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love
You'll understand what I mean when I say
There's no way we're gonna give up
And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster that lives in her dreams

17. (2006) What you gon' do with all that ass?
All that ass inside them jeans?
I'm a make, make, make, make you scream
Make you scream, make you scream

Ain't cha got no rhymes for me?

The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)--Simon and Garfunkel (THE MOST ironic opening line in music for a guitarist: "Slow down, you move too fast..." and you change chords so fast your fingers ache the whole next day!!)

5. (1970) I took her home to my place
Watching ev'ry move on her face
She said " Look, what's your game baby
are you tryin' to put me in shame?"

All Right Now--Free (another Paul Rogers band, isn't it?)

6. (1973) I never thought about today would come
When she would leave without good-bye, yes, sir.
She wrote a line or two upon the wall --
Said, I’m leaving you, know I love you too,
I can’t stay with you

That you're half of the flesh
And blood makes me whole

Broken Wings--Mr. Mister (7th or 8th grade lol)

Knowin' this is when I'm gonna make my move
Can't wait any longer
And I'm feeling stronger but oh

Piano In The Dark--Brenda Russell

12. (1991) how many times
did we give up
but we always worked things out
and all my doubts and fear
kept me wondering
if i'd always be in love

It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over--Lenny Kravitz

13. (1994) Love is in the water
Love is in the air
Show me where to go
Tell me will love be there

Shine--Collective Soul (very nice countrified cover by Dolly Parton)

14. (1997) I need some love like I never needed love before
(wanna make love to ya baby)
I had a little love, now I'm back for more
(wanna make love to ya baby)
Set your spirit free, it's the only way to be

All that ass inside them jeans?
I'm a make, make, make, make you scream
Make you scream, make you scream

My Humps--The Black Eyed Peas (Does anybody else remember Stacy Ferguson on Kids, Inc.?)

The 59th Street Bridge Song - Simon and Garfunkel (a couple months ago my Sploofus question was a line from the song asking the title and the bastards made the FIRST CHOICE Feelin' Groovy. Only when I got that nasty snail did I learn they'd put the "actual" title down a few choices. Now that's dirty pool....) Other fun fact: We learned the words to this song in French in my junior high school French class. Btw, REXER, it was already an oldie by then!
