What have you done today
to make you feel proud?
So, I do watch The Biggest Loser.
whatever
The song got me thinking.
Wondering what my life would be like if, each day, I did something that made me feel proud.
So far, I have not gotten from wondering to acting.
Some day, I just might do that.

I got out of bed and went to work.

I have picked up my paycheck, bought enough candy to last me 2 weeks, got me a fresh batch of money to enter into Where's George, finished the ES pic I've been working on all week, and I'm about ready to go to lunch....
I am quite proud of my accomplishments thus far....

Looks like some pretty low standards. I fit right in.
Got up. Pee'd. Took some pain meds. Waited for them to take effect. Did my rehab exercises. Ate breakfast. Watched 1/2 of The Changeling. Right now I'm watching a WebX Software demo for work (even though I using my limited sick leave hours). I may charge the hours to regular time and make them make me change it back.

I gave 5th Grade Science makeup tests to 3 Regular Ed students and then gave a 5th grade Science makeup test to the one Special Ed student who missed it. I then packed up all the testing materials to be turned in to our Disctrict Test Coordinator tomorrow. Our state has added this science test to our accreditation formula. Before it was just reading, language, and math. So I am proud to be done with it for this year.

Re: What have you done today
I found out that the check that I wrote to my gardener was stolen by a gentleman who was planning on washing it and selling it to somebody else. The check is presently in the custody of the Orange Police and is evidence in the case.
I also found out that Art was returned and will have to find a new home. I don't know why he was returned, but it makes me sad because he is such a sweet dog.
I found out that my friend's Dad died.
I have taken Zap out on two long walks.
I caught up on all of the paperwork for the Jog A Thon I am running at Emma's school.
I also washed, dried and folded four loads of laundry.

Re: What have you done today
I bought a pair of shoes with my Christmas gift card. In the process I have come to accept that I cannot wear any heels higher than one inch or so anymore, nor can I wear most of the absolutely fabulous strappy bare sandals out there because of my bunion.
But, it didn't distress me as much as I thought, so I'm proud of myself for not getting into a pissier mood than I already was.

I slept overnight at the hospital to stay with an old man whose wife couldn't anymore.

That's about the nicest thing I've heard all day. And it's far nicer than anything I've done today but thankfully the day isn't over yet.clem21 wrote:I slept overnight at the hospital to stay with an old man whose wife couldn't anymore.

Okay, I'm pretty proud of myself. I was able to determine that an low income elderly client had been overpaying her medical insurance for about 5 years, and she has been cut a refund check of 3,600.00 that is non taxable, because it was always her money.

My Mom just got a check from FEMA to fix some of the damage from the flood. She went from being pretty depressed to being quite optimistic.
Getting the money that she deserved made such a difference in her attittude.
Good for you sweetheart!

I called the state police about the two dogs who were stuck in the grassy middle part of the highway that I take to work. They looked scared and I was scared for them.
