He's out stealing stuff from back porches and garbage cans, so he'll have lots of ammunition to throw at Annie and Lizbit today. His sad puppy dog eyes look an awful lot like mischievous, evil rodent eyes to me.

Dozens of people will sidle in front of both of us when they get around to playing today's Q, but we can deal with that, as LB and I are mature people who will shoot them down with nursery school glee as soon as they get an obscure question about arboreal rodents, rare dog breeds or thundersnow.

More importantly, you will look cute and lb will be joyous.

We would too!

I am hoping, before my luck finally runs out and I free fall off the list, that I can snag the top spot..... so I can look both cute and joyous for at least a few seconds....

You may judge your personal joyousness. We will decide about the cute.

I just managed to grab the top spot on the leaderboard. Two days in a row under 4 seconds--today's was 3.21! I think I can reveal my question without spoiling it for anyone: How many sides does a pentagon have? (Sorry if your latest question was a tad harder!) Amazingly, it's only been answered correctly 70.2% of the time. Yesterday's question asked what sport a certain Winter Olympian had won a bunch of gold medals in. I'm a die-hard Olympic watcher, so I knew it immediately. I think the get rate on that one was around 30%.

I do have a couple of secrets for shaving time off, by the way. I use the Opera browser, so I magnify the page as large as it will go without pushing the button off the bottom of the screen. (You can do this with the latest version of the Firefox browser as well.) This makes everything more readable and makes the radio buttons bigger, which I think makes it a little faster to get your cursor on the right spot to click. The other thing I do is temporarily disable the loading of images. This is trivial in Opera, but I'm not sure it's even possible in any other browser. People with slow connections should try it out.

I should start expanding things. Today I left 500 points on the table with a Q that was answered correctly 90+% of the time, but was cluttered with so much needless verbiage that it literally took me an extra 10 seconds to find the answer.

New glasses would probably help as well.

Well, there is the notion that a pentagon has an inside and an outside! :D

Great tips! Thanks!! The image loading is easy in Firefox as well. Start at the Tools pulldown menu from the top of the browser. Go to Options, then Content and uncheck "Load images automatically" and save. I'd also recommend unchecking "Enable Javascript" and "Enable Java" at this point as well.

You can do that with all of the current releases of the major browsers. I've gottten them all right this month but am in 123rd place right now as I've had slow hotel connections.

Try a couple of 7%ers. That'll kill a good score for sure. Not that I would have a good score anyway since I play with extra windows open. And no, they aren't for googling.
