Skittles

#1 Post by sunflower » Wed Mar 04, 2009 1:49 pm

I think they changed the formula or flavor, somehow. Either that or I am getting defective bags or there is something wrong with my taste buds.

I am a skittles addict, and the bag I am eating today is the third where the flavors all taste slightly different. Not in a good way.

Have never been a fan.

Peanut M&Ms - don't get between me and a bag of those delicious things.

I used to love those until one fateful day when I ate a one pound bag...have never been able to touch them since!

That hasn't stopped me - maybe I should eat the 3 lb bag to cure me.

Hey! That's a great reason.

I bet they did change the recipe, and sorta like when Coke changed theirs, some will love it, some will hate it, they'll lose some customers and gain others.

How many remember that the purple ones used to have a strawberry center instead of grape? I was annoyed when they changed it.

I don't know. Last time I've eaten skittles, which was a short time ago, they didn't taste very different to me.

Maybe you're taking that "taste the rainbow" slogan a little too literally.

The oranges at my store don't look like that...but the lemons...last time I bought some shrimp from the store (still frozen so it was deemed safe), I bought a lemon from a basket in front of the seafood counter. Looked and felt okay. THE NEXT DAY it was covered in mold!! WTF??

And people wonder why I pay twice the price to shop at Whole Foods, at least the stuff is fresh. If you find anything bad there, they'll give you one for free.
