I'd like to take you up on your offer to reccomend some books for me to read about moviemaking. I've read a few about independent/short films, but I'll take all the help I can get. And any free advice is welcome.
I am about 25% sure of this.

I'm not Bob Juch, but a book by the woman who produced "Mad Hot Ballroom" is very good regarding attempting to get funding, getting clearances on music used, etc.

Its also a well written account of the genesis of a project.
It does not go into technical "actual shooting" details; more anecdotal.

I'm just running out to buy one of my granddaughters a car, but will give you a list when I get back - probably in several hours or more.
