Why

#1 Post by kayrharris » Fri Feb 27, 2009 9:23 am

does my cleaning lady have to be sick this week? She didn't come last week because I was off
playing in Norman. I have people coming in next week for Natalie's wedding. I had already planned
on being off today, but scrubbing toilets wasn't on my agenda. I guess it is now.

Weather in March in Alabama is so much fun. It's supposed to rain most of today and tomorrow with
a high of 68. Now Sunday is high of 42 with snow showers!! Pul..lezz...!!! But it's OK, by Wednesday
we're back up to the 60's and Friday and Saturday (the magic day) high of 70 and only 10% chance
of precipation! YAY!! Let's hope I get through this next week.

Now, where do I keep those cleaning supplies????

Is she an individual or with a company? Does she have a fill in person? Maybe you can call one of the bigger companies (The Maids, Merry Maids, whatever you have around you) and get someone out today, I know at least around here they will do the "one time" cleaning, which costs a little more than the contracted weekly cleanings, but it's worth it!!!!

Wow. One day of a winter thaw mixed in with a bunch of spring. How can you stand it? :P

Marley, are you getting nice weather today? It was 45 on my way into work and we're supposed to get well into the 50's today, but with rain. But snow and sleet on Sunday.

She works by herself. I could call a cleaning service and have a connection or two since I work for an insurance
company, however, I'm sure they couldn't make it today. She told me she could come next Wednesday, which
will be fine. I just need to get the bathrooms done and the beds changed today. I have a floor steamer I've
been raving about for months now, so doing the kitchen floor really isn't a problem either. There's only two of us
here now, so it doesn't get that bad. I just had to whine for a little bit. 8)

House cleaning is always worth a whine or two. If it's accompanied by a wine or two, so much the better.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

My connection was really hinky last night and I was tired after 3 straight nights of
being up close to 1AM, so I fell asleep on the sofa about 11 I think. Sorry your abuse was held to
a minimum.  Next week will be the same, but after that we should be back to normal. :D

Yeah, high 40's today. We're getting rain, but none of that is going to freeze, so it's fine with me. Back to more seasonable temperatures tomorrow.

And according to my Six Season calendar, Winter ends on Saturday!

Then we have just two months of Unlocking, before Spring arrives! 8)

Four inches on the ground and still coming down like crazy. I had to laugh yesterday when someone was lamenting "spring" in Montana. It's only February, that's not spring anywhere in this (northern) hemisphere.

I can't wait to hear this one!!! I really was home alone. I got home about 4 yesterday
afternoon. I worked on hooking up a new all in one printer to my laptop, which of course, was missing
a critical USB cord I needed. I'm on my way to go get one now. I also got a wireless upgrade so the
printer can stay upstairs and I can print from my laptop downstairs. It should be great if I ever get
it work right!
