I didn't say it was his responsibility. But as a practical matter, there's no way the puzzle will get finished unless somebody has access to a complete list of contestants. I have a complete list (without questions) for Aug.99 - Aug. 01, and I earlier noted a website with transcripts from June 00 through the 4th syndicated season. On here the transcripts only go back to when this site started in late 07 (I think). I don't know where there are transcripts for Super Millionaire.
There is a link below my avatar which leads you to my WWTBAM page. In the statistics link, you can find lists of every single contestant and their airdate(s). That should help you determine which transcripts to look for here or here.

There's a site that has a bunch of WWTBAM answers but no questions. It may help a little bit. That site is here.

An old friend of mine, Tim Connolly, has most of the transcripts from August 1999 to February 2000. His website still exists here.

Almost every syndie transcript can be found on the WWTBAM test page that 15QA has in the Transcripts Forum of the Bored.
Perfect! What a great resource. Thanks - we'll get it done now!

Looked up Syndicated and Super millionaire winners from Nelly's website, and thanks to John C. for contributing Primetime answers. It looks like it always is the person's final correct answer. I wonder if Frank knows that somebody won $250,000 answering Norman Mailer?

Added new names at bottom but don't have time now to update the groupings.

Identify the 109 people, places, things, titles, and fictional characters below.

Arrange them into 47 trios and 1 quartet based on a Tangredi, or hidden principle, that you must discover for yourself. 21 answers will be used twice, 6 answers will be used three times, and 1 answer will be used four times.

Whenever you come across a quotation, bear in mind that I may be looking for a real person, a fictional character, or a title. It's up to you to work your way through the puzzle in order to determine what answers will allow everything to work out.

Updated answers and pairings. 41 complete and partial leaves 7 (at least) yet to be identified. I looked at other $250K primetime winners and didn't find any more matching last names, but maybe some will show up in unanswered questions. Somebody early on in primetime had Beaufort Scale as an answer but I can't remember who and don't want to search through the transcripts. That's one more, and maybe we have to include some $125K winners.
I think there are now two wrong answers unless Mary Todd Lincoln is wrong for #14, but I'm assuming she's right since we needed both a Mary and a Todd.

The "code I live by" is Castillo from Miami Vice.

I found a video of Seth Green where he credits Ted Levine (Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs) for the Chris voice.

The door to door dance salesman is MARTY ALLEN. I am shamelessly googling at this point.

Since we still need a Perry, and Rayburn was from Texas, perhaps the Rayburn question is Texas Governor Rick Perry.

The Anchorman reference is to Merlin Olsen - it is in the "Rich mahogany" sequence.

There are still three definite answers that are wrong.

One answer with a question mark is correct.

There are still those two partially correct answers as well.

Do a Yahoo or Google search on "Beaufort scale" and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and you may just get the name...

Updated. The Springfield person is PAYNE STEWART, who fills two blanks. Is Richard Nixon the connection between Whoopi and Elvis? I know Elvis famously visited him in the White House.

I suspect two of the three wrong answers are these:
79. He is the oldest person ever to win an MTV Movie Award.
JACK NICHOLSON (we already have a Jack)
106. He was the very first comedian to receive a standing ovation on a debut appearance on “The Tonight Show”.
ROCKY LAPORTE

The only other unused definites are:
1. “Any man who wants to be President is either an egomaniac or crazy.”
DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER
31. It’s the Dakota word for “water”.
MINNE or MINI
63. On an episode of “South Park”, Kenny G and Yoko Ono organized four million third-graders to perform this song on recorders, humorously causing the entire population of Earth to crap their pants.
MY COUNTRY TIS OF THEE
87. “Now I’m Doc Strange in the Range like ‘Whoa!’ Hundred miles an hour, switchin’ lanes like ‘Whoa!’”
DANCE FLOWER in "AUDITION POP", or vice versa - never heard of either!
108. Comedian Artie Lange auditioned for a role in this film, but he described his audition as being so bad, it was “like a plumber who won a radio contest and got to try out for a movie”.
