Big ups girls. Job well done. It took me a minute to figure out how this applied to me but luckily I knew enough songs to figure it out. I don't know how my personal whores, cocottes and assorted slutatorians will respond to this but I'm very thankful...

In keeping with the them I figure I'll list an applicable girl I've dated if I don't know the right answer.

1. We're callin' everyone to ride along
To another shore,
We can laugh our lives away
And be free once more.
Spoiler
This'd be Lisette (!) or Lizzie for short. The first girl from Miami that I really connected with. We never actually went out though. She talked a lot. And her laugh was really annoying. These things bother me
2. Oh yeah life goes on
Long after the thrill of livin is gone
Spoiler
Jack and Diane - John Cougar Mellencamp, What a dumb name. Honestly. Also he's not really a good singer. Also Diane is a whore.
3. Sergeant O'Leary is walkin the beat
At night he becomes a bartender
He works at Mister Cacciatores
Down on Sullivan Street
Across from the medical center
Spoiler
Movin' Out - Billy Joel
4. Young and beautiful, but someday your looks'll be gone
When the others turn you off, who'll be turnin' you on
I will, I will, I will, I will be there to share forever
Spoiler
Love Will Keep Us Together - Captain and Tennille (sp?), I only got this one after I'd picked up on the theme. Also my looks'll never be gone. I'm THAT good looking.
5. I was raised by a toothless bearded hag
I was schooled with a strap right across my back
But it's all right now
In fact it's a gas,
Spoiler
it's a gas, it's a gas, it's a gas!(You can't leave out the funnest part to sing)
Jumpin' Jack Flash - The Rolling Stones
6. Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
He gets me my drinks for free
And he's quick with a joke or to light up your smoke
But there's someplace that he'd rather be
Spoiler
Piano Man - Billy Joel
7. And with the new day's dawning
she felt it drift away.
Not only for a cruise
not only for a day
Spoiler
Not even for a year or two...
8. _____ wasn't old, but he was a man
He lived in the sand at the Isle of Man
The kids would all sing, he would take the wrong key
So they rode on his head on their furry donkey
Spoiler
Happy Jack - The Who, This will undoubtedly be the theme song for 'CSI: The Village' when it premieres in 2027
9. You might have heard I run with a dangerous crowd
We ain't too pretty, we ain't too proud
We might be laughing a bit too loud
Ah but that never hurt me once
Spoiler
Angry Young Man - Billy Joel, ("HA! Double Entendre") (If you got that joke then I like you.)
10. If you return me,
to my home port,
I will kiss you,
mother earth
Spoiler
Yeah this is gonna be Courtney, the environmentalist chick. She talked about global warming and pesticides a lot. I went out with her a couple times anyway. She was really hot. Yes, I'm superficial. Don't be so incredulous mini, if you saw Courtney you'd go out with her too!
11. Old woman old woman, oh you treat me so mean,
You're the meanest old woman that I ever have seen,
Well I guess if you say so
I'll have to pack my things and go (that's right)
Spoiler
Hit The Road Jack - Ray Charles, Since LB always likes the baseball references, the Yankees used to play this after the Yankees unloaded on an opponent's pitcher and he headed to the dugout after being taken out. Ya gotta love adding insult to injury...
12. And you told me not to drive
But I made it home alone
So you said that only proves that i'm insane
Spoiler
You May Be Right (I May Be Crazy!) (HA HA! Multiple Entendre!) - Billy Joel
Spoiler
So I didn't get it until I realized the missing songs must be Captains which is when I hit on Love Will Keep Us Together which I haven't heard in years...

This so does not count LB but you do get an A for effort....

Now I'm off to the Hotel California. Peace out groupies.

Captain of Her Heart - Double (This song came out in 1986 when I was just 11 years old, and one of my more vivid memories from that year was the first time I ever heard it played on the radio. Back then, the radio station we listened to (103.3 KHTR!!!) had a contest where at any point during the day they'd ask you to call in and name the last X number of songs played and who performed them for $100 each. My mom always tried to win, and in getting an early start on my career, I was her notebook boy who'd write down all the songs played. Well, they played this one coming straight out of a commercial break, and when I heard the unfamiliar intro, I just assumed it was a commercial for some fancy ritzy jewelry store or something. By the time it got to the chorus, I was seriously wondering WTF it was that was being played, and if it really was a song. I even got my mom to ask if she'd ever heard it before, and she didn't have a clue what it was. So I wrote down "Captain of Her Heart - ????" in my notebook and just hoped they didn't announce the contest anytime soon. They didn't. OK, that's my goofy story behind this song. Moving on....)

mother earth

Clem's Groupies will get you high tonight! And they sure did draw out a bunch of players with some pretty high scores, even with a lot of the regulars still absent....

JJC Points:

Not much in this department today, but that's because most players knew most of the songs....

Fanny gets a JJC point for channelling Estonut and for Captain Underpants...

Elwood gets a JJC point for breaking up Jack Morris' perfect game...

Clem gets 2 JJC points, which his groupies told me was not enough, but screw those bunch of skanks anyway....
