Hit A Royal The Other Day
No, I didn't assault the Queen. I hit the second Royal Flush of my life while playing video poker at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi last Monday. For those of you who play VP, here are the details. I held one card, (the King of Diamonds) and drew four. I watched in amazement as the Queen, Jack, Ace, and Ten of Diamonds filled those four blank spots. It was a really sweet Royal since it was a progressive jackpot (on a .25 machine) that paid me $1,170. That was a little larger than a regular non-progressive Royal payout ($1,000) but still thirty dollars short of triggering the generation of a W2G. It was fun leaning over and whispering in The Baboo's ear "you aren't going to believe this". She reacted with even more enthusiasm than I had when she glanced over to see what I was talking about.

Good show! I don't play video poker, but have also gotten two Royals in my lifetime.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
