Name This Tune
I don't know if this is a snippet from an actual song or just a few bars specifically done for this commercial. If you have heard the tune they play with the commercial for the iPhone, it is very reminiscent of The Clash's "London Calling." That would make sense consider the title of the song, but, is that what they ripped for the commercial or is it another song or is it just a few bars done for the iPhone commericial?

I don't know the answer to this, but I find it funny. My iPhone's ringtone IS "London Calling".
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

I think I've heard the commercial you're talking about. It sounds like the Clash to me. Apparently, Apple was offering free downloads of that song a few months ago, so that might tend to confirm it.Sir_Galahad wrote:I don't know if this is a snippet from an actual song or just a few bars specifically done for this commercial. Thanks. Side by side, there's not much resemblance after the first few seconds:T_Bone0806 wrote:It's called "You, Me & the Bourgeoisie" by The Submarines

The first soundbite on this one sounds even more like the commercial song. It's by Jordan Zevon (son of Warren)--click on "song #1"
