My Morning Entertainment...

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Tue Feb 17, 2009 8:01 am

After being vacant and condemned for 2 years, the city is finally tearing down the house next to me. They parked a bigass bulldozer out in the yard yesterday, and now a smaller version has just been unloaded, and just had the honor of taking the first few whacks at it, taking off a some of the siding....

I guess if the protesters ever come back, they'll have to wear Depends this time.....

This makes me sad. Houses being torn down always does. Then again, I tear up when I see old Vegas hotels imploded and I've been known to cry in junkyards.....

I doubt anyone will be tearing up over this one. The couple who owned it are both dead, and the juvies their daughter hung around with were using it as their base to terrorize the neighborhood for a while....

There are about 6 or 7 vacant yards now on my block. They don't bother to rebuild around here, and I'm sure they won't next door either....

Or use your yard. . .

Heck, no! :P

Well, I had to call in Rain Man as being absent, and take out all the trash and recycling, read the paper, and bless someone out for violating the Do Not Call list, but I think the real slowdown was sitting down to watch Monsters, Inc with my Little Boo.......

You going to be able to get some sleep today or will the deconstruction interfere?

That remains to be seen. But at least with how much I slept last night I shouldn't be too inconvenienced if I'm not able to sleep much today....

Of course, I doubt it'll be a one day thing, so I'll probably have to put up with it tomorrow too...

It took about two weeks to demolish and haul off the house next to me, using a cute little Bobcat and a few roll-off dumpsters. And it wasn't a very big house.

Check to see if they could use a little help. Tearing things down can be a great stress reliever.
