That whole thing was funny.
Spoiler
But could they have given them more flimsy carriers.

Why did they not figure out they could just roll them down and pick them up at the bottom!

It was hysterical! That was one of the funniest challenges I've ever seen.

Although the earlier challenge had me just about peeing in my pants out of fear!!!

This happened several times by accident.

Did anyone do it on purpose?

And kudos to the couple that actually did the challenge "correctly" (the ones that showed they had no mud on their pants).

PS Has there ever been a team where both members chickened out of a scary stunt? I was wondering if that would happen tonight.

I don't know...but I would have in that! What's the penalty? A 30 minute delay to check in? That's what it is every time someone reads a clue wrong and skips a step or forgets something. There must be more of a penalty, otherwise I can't see why people wouldn't skip them left and right, and hope they're just 30 minutes ahead of at least one other team.

I seem to recall that when Rob & Amber were on, there was a detour that involved eating something and Rob decided that they couldn't do it and skipped it and convinced several other teams to skip it also so that they would not be the only ones. I think All the the teams that did were assessed a penalty of several hours (4 maybe).

You were right! Good memory!!!

One stunt had teams eating huge helpings of meat, which Rob couldn't do. His solution - convince other teams to also skip the challenge and take the 4-hour penalty. Had none of the teams taken the idea and just kept trying to eat and complete the challenge, Rob and Amber would likely have been eliminated. Surprisingly, a couple of teams are convinced to stop a little while later. Those teams then end up starting their penalty later, almost certainly insuring that Rob and Amber wouldn't be eliminated

<LOL> Lady G asked me if I could have done the bungie thing. I said that I would have told Steph to do it. <LOL>

On the cheese thing, we were laughing so hard. So she says to me, "that could be you, you know. I know I wouldn't want to make a fool of myself like that in front of the whole world." My reply, of course, was "yeah, but it isn't me." But, I have no problem making a fool of myself like that if the circumstance warrants it. You do what you have to do, sometimes.

Yes- quality stuff.

Now, if only the crying lady gets eliminated next week (the ones the scenes show gets lost next week), I'm good to go.

I never had two teams annoy me right from the start the way her team, and the team that got eliminated, did.

Crying lady's husband used his head for that cheese challenge. He is going to get very tired having her on his back. Seems to me, one would do some sort of conditioning before going on this show - they have seen it, right?

Then, not being able to find the yodelers and dropping back in place was stoopid.

Don't the Swiss yodel all the time? Whatever would make that couple think that following the sound of the yodelers would bring them to the finish line?

Indeed glad to see the newest bickersons candidates go early and would be happy to see the cryer go next. Too bad for the guy who seems to be into it but it is a team game.

The stews don't really do much for me (in fact they kinda annoyed me, they can be the third to leave right after the cryer. Or maybe even second if the cryer's husband can carry her for one more episode.) but the Cheerleaders have plugged directly into my red head obsession! Although they don't appear to have much chance long term. One never knows though.

I suspect you are correct but it is a better look than going platinum blonde when you are in reality a dark brunette. At least to me. Other people no doubt feel otherwise.

Yes, she is a cougarish 52 and he is 43. Although he certainly looks closer to 52 at times...

Given they have been married 17 years according to their bio it means she was about 35 and he was 26 at the time.

Been there, done that, enjoyed it, at least briefly...

Older yes, but I don't think she meets the other criteria to be labeled a cougar...a little too frumpy and irritating for that! I'm an aspiring cougar, I have to protect the "breed"...we can't let just anyone in!!

There could be frumpy cougars I suppose, they just wouldn't typically get as much air time so we wouldn't know about them as much.

Indeed it was. However I'm a little puzzled about the "cheese challenge". The instructions clearly stated to use the traditional cheese carriers, yet most teams either hauled the wheels by hand or gathered up what rolled to the bottom. Either there was some serious editing going on (i.e. the couples got new carriers) or the rules have changed regarding following the instructions for the challenge. I thought sure that most of the teams would be penalized because they didn't follow directions.
