Pink Lady Basketball

#1 Post by christie1111 » Sun Feb 15, 2009 2:34 pm

Everyone is wearing pink today for the coach who died.

Kay Yow.

I love this kind of solidarity.

I flipped past a women's basketball game yesterday afternoon that featured one team wearing bright pink uniforms, and the other team was wearing assorted pink accessories (socks, headbands, etc.)

The high school girls all wore pink ribbons in their hair, and the college women wore pink sox and pink sports bras. Both teams featured educational events and publicity during the week.

Those players are TALL. I ran into a couple of the college women downtown, and they were maybe a head taller than any other woman in the place. They don't look that tall on the basketball court.
