Steelers and Broncos Fans!

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Fri Feb 13, 2009 5:55 pm

Money is tight for one of my co-workers this year, so she's selling off, game by game, four season tickets to Broncos games at face value ($77 per ticket), as many games as she can.

Two catches:

-- She needs to sell the tix by March 1, when payment is due to the Broncos.
-- We play the Steelers this year, but we won't know when until around April 14, when they release the dates.

SteelersFan and I want to buy two of the tickets so we can have a big fight at the stadium (kidding! sheesh!).

Anybody interested in one or both of the other two? Denver can be very beautiful in the fall or winter, and my (theoretical) Science PAF will provide a place to stay for as many people as show up. I'll pick you up at the airport, and I promise not to be late like I was with Skoop.

Drop me an IM if you're interested.

Do I need a ticket if I sit in your lap?
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

I am intrigued.

When might the game be? I know I should know this, but I don't.

Am I too late?

I know you said IM and I wanted to make sure this is viable before I start really thinking about it.

Honey, you know I can score you tickets to any of my games you want to see. Just give me a ring!

But, will you pick me up at the airport and give me a place to stay with a Bronco Fan, a Steeler Fan and someone who knows enough science to be sprots' PaF?

That's the catch, darn it. :(

The Broncos make them pay for the tickets by March 1, but the schedule isn't announced until mid-April. They tell you the teams you're playing, but not when you're playing them. I know it's like buying a pig in a poke.

Here are all the teams your football baby boy will be playing this year:
Pittsburgh Steelers
Home: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Oakland, San Diego, Tennessee, Green Bay, Minnesota
Away: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City, Miami, Chicago, Detroit

Here are all the teams we'll be playing this year:
AFC WEST
Denver Broncos
Home: Kansas City, Oakland, San Diego, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, New England, Dallas, N.Y. Giants
Away: Kansas City, Oakland, San Diego, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Washington

What I was really asking, was when does the season begin and when does it end.

I will now go and look that up.

I was just being lazy.

Okay, so I think I got that the game could be during September, October, November or December. It could be on a Sunday or a Monday - might it be on any other day of the week?

Did I miss any possibility?

I am becoming more of a yes as I type.

I was a not no before.

Ouch! Sorry! Sometimes I wish I could read . . .

There are a few Thursday games. If I recall correctly, tradition indicates that your baby boy's team will be playing in that one this year at home and get their Super Bowl rings. Again IIRC, the rest of the Thursday games usta start with Thanksgiving, but it seems to me they were earlier last year.

This is exciting! Hope it works!!!
