I'm Gonna Get Scritches Tonight!!!!

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

--squirrelmama (10/3/07)

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

ES doesn't have to send you cards to get scritches though.

Plus, I think he's trying to get a lap-seat to that football game....

I have been pain free pretty much all morning, and have been forcing myself to down several glasses of water already. I'm still severely lacking on sleep (even though I called off work last night more because I was exhausted than because I was still hurting), but am not really tired now. That will catch up with me before long I'm sure....

I'm hoping yesterday was an isolated incident....

Trying to woo my lady loves with gifts of classy artwork would never have worked for me. As an artist, I make a really good truck driver. My attempts at drawing make cave paintings look like Van Gogh. My family used to laugh at me whenever we played Pictionary. I always countered with the fact that it couldn't have been THAT bad, as they almost always knew what I was drawing.

I think Sprots might want to borrow the reply I saw on the recent commercial (another one from TurboTax?):

"I'm a tax accountant, Mr. Cupid. Those arrows have no effect on me."

Or she could use the reply she keeps using.

LOL!

It's beautiful, ES. You're brilliant. If you weren't such a great artist, I would have put you on a flight with Sully long ago so you would meet the fate you deserve.

. . . Did I say flight and Sully? I meant voyage and Sparrow. Captain Jack Sparrow.

ES is scurrying up the wrong tree if he thinks he's ever going to a football game with me, his not being allowed in the state and all.

At four months, he's not even fully aware of the power of reaching and grabbing, and scritching is out for several months. He was reaching and grasping his little plastic rings last night, and it was fun to watch him start to put it together.

He would be happy to see you . . . no accounting for taste in a four month old, I guess . . .
