I prefer to celebrate unbirthdays. 364 times a year. 365 in leap years.

In kindergarten when it was your birthday you got to wear a construction paper crown with your name on it. I was so excited and looking forward to my birthday (mine was towards the end of the school year so I suffered for months watching everybody else wear crowns).

Then the day came and.....nothing! I was devastated, but managed to hide it. I was too shy to come right out and tell the teacher, so I kind of hinted around all day (well half day, because it was kindergarten), but she never got the message. On the walk home I finally lost it and cried all the way to my grandma's house.

And I've hated celebrating my birthday ever since.

Have you ever thought of litigation for emotional distress?

Is there a statute of limitations on birthday forgetting? She's probably dead by now, anyway......

I did learn something from the experience, though. If you don't speak up for what's yours, you won't get it. So if you want it, say something.

Another softball today!

I had to read down to the fourth answer to get it for 1,388 points.

I must be, too! I was commenting on how many of us have no trouble saying what they want. I definitely include myself in that group. I believe Pea was adding herself. I would also add you, and Sprots, and everyone else who just comes out and says stuff rather than just hiding until stuff goes away.

AARGH! Aiders and abetters!

How about launching a campaign to send ES to Siberia? That would be a good Valentine's Day present.

For me.

Fanny,

I apologize for all the stuff that I have said that has you feel like you are getting slammed. I have never intended to slam you or stir your shit and I have always thought we were playing like two little kittens who sometimes forget that they have their claws out.

I have intended to stir others shit - not you.

I am sure mini was just playing - I am sure she was not intending to stir your shit (as it were).

ghost was doing ghost.

You are not feeling well.

I am sorry.

I dint send her though. She went on her own. She's brilliant!

Yes, but he'd be in Siberia.

Way more than three states away.

LOL! He probably would. If he could come up with the shekels. I mean, he's a squrrel. How much cash can he have? I'm thinkin that acorns don't trade for much on the world markets . . .

Heck, I can't even get LB to Vegas. Maybe we can talk about rearranging the time a bit, since some people have said they can't make it on the originally proposed date, to coincide with his vacation.

Then we'll shanghai him! (That was the Word of the Day in Toastmasters today.)
