Where's George
I read that the hit rate is 11%, so I should have gotten 3 hits from the bills I entered way back in 2002. So far, none of the 94 bills I've entered have been hit.

Hit rates depend on a lot of different things, like marking style, types of denominations entered, etc....
My hite rate is 15.5%.....

My rate is 12.15% right now. $1 bills have an average lifespan of 21 months, so bills you entered in 2002 are most likely shredded by now.

I saw the claim that stamped bills have a better hit rate than hand-written, but if I am hand-writing, what suggestions do you old pros have?
I've been using Red or Purple on the Left Margin if there's room. If not, then the Right Margin. One one, I had to use the top margin.

Actually, I've always hand marked my bills. I use a red fine-point Sharpie to write the site name in the top or bottom margin on the front side. Then I box in the serial number, and circle the date. On the back, I write the site name in purple Sharpie in the top margin. Keep an eye peeled!

Unless your handwriting is sloppy, there shouldn't be much difference in hit rates bewteen handwritten and stamped bills. My experience with wilds is that most handwritten bills are usually crudely marked and sometimes hard to read the website...
If you entered 33 bills back in 2002, I'm surprised none of them got hit. I entered 38 bills in 2002, of which 6 got hits... and I wrote on them with a red pen and only on the back of the bill.....
I can tell you that there is a lot of luck and randomness associated with this. If you keep entering you will eventually get hits (Just like if ES keeps pestering Sprots, he will eventaully get scritches).....
