Philly schools closed today
An unexpected 4-6 inch snowfall last night, eight at the airport. Public and Catholic schools closed. BDM would say "wimps."

We're getting snow here in South Carolina, its a big deal, traffic is crawling.
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I predict that you will soon be experiencing bright sunny skies and warm temperatures.

In defense of the Philadelphia schools, it was more than eight inches of snow.

With drifting, some of those narrow streets in the rowhouse neighborhoods had real problems.
We just finished shoveling. We got about six inches of snow.

We got maybe 3 or 4 inches spread out over a 12 to 15 hour period. No big deal, but I did have to brush a lot off the car this morning.
