Where's Beast Now?

#1 Post by Sisyphean Fan » Sun Feb 01, 2009 8:27 am

I'm sort of excited and sort ashamed of myself for being excited....

I rooted through my car console, my glove box, my overnight bag and wherever else I could remember that I sometimes stick things and forget about them. In addition to a fistful of expired cat food and Prilosec coupons, two lighters that didn't work and some UPC codes I was saving, I found a handful of change and four dollar bills and a half a saw!

I wrote on them last night and entered them into the website (was I supposed to put comments on all of them?) and I'm going to spend them this morning! I was considering spending them in different places, but it reminded me too much of Mel Gibson going all around New York putting his newletters in different mailboxes in Conspiracy Theory.

The game is on!

Go buy some Evenly Gorgeous.

I don't get the Where's stuff, but I know you have to spend the dollar to do it, so you
may as well spend it on that. :)

In THAT order.

Of course, from the context of your post, you may have violated that most important of WG credos! The fine is four bucks.....

Oh yeah, I remember reading that on the FAQs. My second guess would be that Evil Squirrel's middle name was Melvin.

Did I violate it by marking a five? It let me enter it. Unless you're talking about marking before entering. I actually did enter them first yesterday afternoon. Then I forgot about writing on them until last night. Ha! All that writing is tedious....

Well, if you entered them first, you're OK! Too many people mark bills then forget to enter them, and it sucks to find one out in the wild, only to reenter it and see you made the first entry....

And ES's middle name is not Melvin. For ES's full name, see the fourth post down from this thread....

Why does it matter whether one enters the bill before one marks it? So long as one does enter the bill, it shouldn't be an issue.

To get users into the habit, because there are any number of things that could distract someone in between marking and entering if they do it backwards.

Unmarked entered bills aren't a problem. Marked unentered bills are. The latter can never happen if one follows EMS....

I've entered a handful of unmarked bills. Are the odds of any of those being entered and marked by someone else right up there with winning the lottery?

No, but the odds of getting a hit off an unmarked bill are high.

Of the over 35,000 bills I've entered, I think I have entered 5 which turned out to be "stealths" entered by someone else before....
