The electricity came on at 9:15 last night, just as I was about to go to sleep on that damn uncomfortable sofa in front the kerosene heater.
Mom didn't waste any time in cranking up the thermostat to 85 degrees to get some heat flowing throughout the house for a few minutes. In the meantime, I turned on my electric blanket on my bed and turned on my SIRIUS boombox.
Ten minutes later, Mom cranked the thermostat back to 70. She went to sleep in her bed instead of on the couch. I went to sleep in my bed instead of on the other couch. And I'll be a monkey's uncle if I wasn't sleeping like a baby within 15 minutes.
I've got the power!

Life is returning to normal.
Whatever normal is.

You wet your pants? Isn't that dangerous with an electric blanket?NellyLunatic1980 wrote:And I'll be a monkey's uncle if I wasn't sleeping like a baby within 15 minutes.
