Not to put a damper on the jokes, but the WWTBAM Bored Reference Thread includes this helpful entry:
How To Resize A Picture For An Avatar:

viewtopic.php?t=760

Hmmm, the automatic abbreviation of the link didn't get quoted as a link. How about starting with the full URL?

I tried resizing some I wanted to use and they wouldn't center the way I wanted.

Hope moonbeam can do what he wants with his.

(I know, my timing sucks....whaddayawant, wicker?)

I tried the 'resize the avatar' site. It cropped a pic for me to 100 pixels (or so I thought).

I cant see to fit the thing into the spot so I can show it.

Don't worry - it happens to men sometimes. It doesn't mean anything.

Is it your ES portrait that you're trying to resize? Beast will sometimes do that for folks now.

Edited to fix the artist's initials.

Moonie doesn't have an ES portrait yet, something which he's let me know about 5 or 6 times before.....

Can you post it on the Bored or send it to me in a PM? I'll resize it and make it your avatar...

Now I wonder if my ES portrait is going to have me with a humongous avatar!

I'll chime in to ask, "Where is the place that permits you to change or add an avatar?" It's not where it was on the old board. I have clicked through the menus on the control panel's Options. I cannot find it anywhere. What am I missing?

Don't answer that last question.

In the UCP under "Options" there is a link for Profile. Click that and you'll see the link to edit the avatar....

Thank you. I didn't see that drop-down part on the left when I looked the first 200 times.

I might be able to spell it better than gorgeous.
