I answered Liberia, but I haven't been able to confirm that with Google.

By my take, I knew 23 dead cold.

I have checked my unsure ones, and I believe I got 37 (if Liberia is right) (38 if they realize that Australia is not just a continent)

I left way too many blank.

I came up with the first name of the Scottish Chef, but not the last name.

If they were saying after Greenland, that eliminates Oz

I said Gordon Ramsey for the chef...one of those I answered but wasn't sure on

Yeah, that specified the answer, but they said that and smallest, IIRC. And I didn't realize it was smaller in area!



But at least I got that one right. <sigh>

For the "Out of Africa" author, I wrote "Isaak Dineen" (leaving out the "S" in her surname). I'm not sure how lenient the J! judges will be w/ that one, even though they are supposedly forgiving of misspellings.

Similarly, if as some others have said "Vishnu" was the correct answer to question # 1, I wonder if I'll get credit for my "Vishna" response.

And for the Great Lakes question, I changed from Erie to Ontario at the last minute, but there were 0 seconds showing on the timer when I finished typing Ontario (although that clue had not yet dissolved into the next one). So I don't know whether I'll be credited for that one.

Some of those pop culture questions were brutal for me, e.g. I had NHO Gordon Ramsay. Have I learned NOTHING from O-Town?

I'm still reconstructing the clues and hoping I make it up to at least 35. My performance was definitely down compared to my last few J! tests.

I don't think the garbled, misspelled answers I had on the ones I didn't hit "submit", or "enter" for (thanks suitguy; I guess I didn't read that far) are going to count, but its nice to know they theoretically could count.

Last year, I didn't realize 'til after the test was over that you could buy time to breath by just letting that timer run out, & kept hitting "submit" too soon. This year, I was doing so badly I hardly ever had an answer in there before the timer just ran out on me.

Just a note - We have E.A. Poe and Scharazade as answers (questions?) which reminds me to mention one of my favoriate Poe stories "The Thousand and Second Tale of Scharazade" (sp?). If you have not read this little known gem it is available on-line at a number of sites (just Google it - note that all the footnotes are part of the original story). I think his views on the public ignorance of science and its lack of appreciation for its wonder as opposed to 'fake wonder' (which is how I interprete the story) is really refreshing. When I taught H.S. Physics many, many, years ago - I assigned it as a project.

That could be doable! ASSuming no one wanders out of bed to upchuck *fingers crossed*...

NObody expected Mini to forget she'd be out of town on Thursday night! Except us!

But she realized she never actually wanted to be on Jeopardy and just wanted to see if she could pass the test, so no biggie.

She's too vague to be alive sometimes...
